She told me her dreams
Now I meditate on how
To realise them

She told me her dreams
Now I meditate on how
To realise them

I'd rather
Love with tear drops than
Love you not

I loved my waterbabies
Wanted all my own
Doting watchers nod, clap, smile
As we kick, plunge, dive
Surprised they paid
A teenager so well
To swim and play
With children
No favourites
But one boy
Keen as mustard
From far across
Indian Ocean
Much bigger, older
Than the others
Little I knew
To dip was such
A luxury because
Of the colour
Of the skin
I see you
Close my eyes to dream
Count the stars

Poetry
A kind of torture
By Vogons

Ever revealing dream
To hold in my arms
Sweetness of the maker
In her peaceful slumber
She is irresistible
Smiles willingly
At my entrancement
Holds tightly to
Newborn revelation
My gift to nurture
Upon waking, momentarily
Snuff out feeble flame
Hopes and aspirations
Borne out of longing
Loneliness deprivation
Old growth affection
Survives years unknown
Wild rampaging fires
Simply to fall, hollow
All on its own
To graciously make way
For new life

I want to know you
All the ways you're beautiful
From the inside out

Jill of all trades
Lifesaver, dawn breaker
Pool pacer
Hearth watcher
Ball catcher
Friend to hidden
Worlds unknown
Just debator
Navigator
Peacemaker
Unveil hidden
Latent potential
Me first
Then you

I'm so taken in
By you from the beginning
Till we meet again

Pull at my heart
Knowing your power
Over me
First thing this morning
A peace settles
Over me
I'm floored in awe
Your light shines
Over me
Wait ever patiently
For this phase to grow
Over me
Will you choose clouds
Far off landscapes
Over me?
