Count the stars of heaven

Our stories are more than the sand on the shore

From whence you came

Nature is neither
Quiet nor forlorn
Waves wrestle breaks
Plummet to shores

Skylight barely
Twinkles away
Eons burning
Blasting space

If peace resists
To dwell within
Cradle cries
Foes grin

Let rip and tear
Of sea, sky and earth
Remind you whence
Flesh from birth

Fearsome

We are planetary beings
You, a large gas giant
Me, one of many
Moons in orbit
Holding all force
Against gravity
Between us
Or else be plunged
Into a remote desert
A mere scar upon
Your landscape
Slow disappearing
Shifting sands of time
No home to call
Mine
Harvest Moon rising from Hobart Tasmania

Lost love song

It used to upset me
A lot
The idea of you talking
About me or not

But now I just wish on
The planetary forces
Some day you'll come to
Agree that maybe

The unspoken words
Are calling out loud
Every time you meet
Me or not
