Swell to rise
Ride in its crests
Rest in its folds
Rock gently to and fro
The ocean in me

Tenderness envelopes
Hidden glory
Untouched
Only revealed
By your light and warmth
Patience, spring is coming

A beautiful art exists
With card, paint and ink
Stunning prose, striking verse
Whale, woman and moon

In case of goodbyes
Parting silence
I hope, to not ever
Give to you

Thread through empty fingers
Softened in wrestless hands
Held open for warm bodies
Reasons to softly land

To love and keep on loving

Like hands held gently 
Our ties envelope us
Guard against the fray
Keep our fears at bay

Knit within the womb
Passing too soon
Creations a symbol
Of love for you
