Sometimes the best
Things in life
Lie dormant for years
Drought barely tolerable
Before surprising
Least expecting
Sorely needing
Season new beginning

Sometimes the best
Things in life
Lie dormant for years
Drought barely tolerable
Before surprising
Least expecting
Sorely needing
Season new beginning

Love is a many useful thing
Use, reuse and repurpose it
Toward the betterment
Of others
One million words
Could not portray
My love
Instead
Turn her away
Silence and presence
Is all that's required
For her to know
How much

Dreams line the highway
Of my life
Unobtainable
Home as wife
Like shooting stars
Exploding into fireworks
Then fade into dust
Raining on rooftops
Steadfast are flowers
Growing in cracks
Gutters and sidewalks
As constant as the sun
Life abounds on edge
I sit poised waiting
Open doors saving
Sight for sore eyes

Storms hover
Laden with energy
As tarry black
Night sky pours out
Longing freezes over
Bursts of Spring
Barely taken hold
Tender shoots
Yearning to flower
Waking dawn
Her face shines over
Melting at the sight
Crying streams
Down to river
Harshness softened
Bud revived
To bloom and grow
To thrive

Show me the way
Back to love
Lost in dense forest
Obscuring the sun
Rising and falling
Burst breaking through
Nestled on mountain
Halo effect
Darkness falls
Let go
Ripples on roof tin
Wake me
In sympathy
Grief is simply love
Yet to be released

Beauty never fades
But changes
Shape and colour
Mesmerised
What money can't buy
Stories gently told
Heartaches healed over
Scars softened by time
Silver seam
Gold vein
Treasures to admire
Only from living
Each moment like
Skydiving alone
Ready to fly
Ready to fall
A lifetime to perfect
The landing

It's hard to hold
Your heart open
When hurt
So many times
Chorus of advisors
Do they see
Gladness and sadness
A two toned coin
Flipped like a dime
Upon our partings
And meetings wondering
If you'll be mine?
Evidence inscrutable
Writing my way
Into your long term
Memory as a melody
Played out into
Our old ages
Something to sing to
On grey inside days
Mine a vinyl record
Its arm revolves
To quiet my soul
'Don't walk away'

Why does she blush
In patient waiting
Expectation
As bird song fades
Night eyes wake
Changing of the guard
Till moonrise
Do not fret
On darkest night
Somewhere sleeping
Lunar orb
Is carried on arms
Of her rays
Reunited
Just one bright day
Each month
Moon renewed
In love

Last night I had
A stranger's dream
Just like the night before
We moved from islands
Through to lovers
I rested on your shore
All the times
We floated freely
Sore each other
Mid-ocean
Till tides refrain
Storms between
Each hurricane
A woman's name
When really
We are peace
It's the pressure
From all around us
That suspends us
Mid air with pieces
Of our lives
Passing before eyes
One day we meet
In the centre
Marvel at the power
Of nature
Our place in it
Together

Flying high over
Open plane of
Possibility
Leading out toward
Inner sea
Subjectivity
Course altered upon
Your signal
Probability
Moving with you
Peak to plateau
Proclivity
Free ourselves
With ease and will
Unity
