Pardalote today
She was perched
Undercover
Sheltered from
The rain
She was chirpy
Twittering to
A nesting mate
While I watched
The handsome exchange
From the other side
Of the window pane
Such excitement 
One feels 
No matter how long
The encounter
A rare bird is she
Whom we hardly ever
Lay eyes upon
But long to see
Indefinitely
