The odds were a trillion to one
Far beyond the baffling beyond
A warm hue of mountains and seas
Fell out of orbit and flees
Cross the vastness and darkness to happen upon
A smaller sized orbit of one…
Impact was sudden, forests stripped bare
Sea life suspended mid-air
Architecture ablaze
Gaping void where cattle grazed
No people to protest or care
Relaxed into orbit, combining their moons
Aligning their tides and monsoons
Like a gyroscope surge
Two planets converge
The weather is urged to make room
Till one star dies and the other flies free
A cacophony of collected debris
magnetism of poles
By pure chance unfolds
Each began and ends with a tree
