‘Maybe the thought of being found is far more terrifying than the reality of being lost.’ – Craig D. Lounsbrough
Beautiful girl
Woman-child
Tethered by
Accouterments of
Fruitless thoughts
Wasteland words
Chattels of time
Untie your bow
Take your bow
Head for the hills
And just be
Alive
For dear life
A scoundrel, a pest
Making mountains of mess
Many words, no restraint
Be that, as it may
The aroma of indifference
As he stumbles through my day
Many words, no restraint
Be that. Come what may.
The end of the record
Needle captures dust
Crackles and spits
The music's over
Played long enough
Turn off the light
The end of the night
Mind captures dreams
Breathes reminisce
The music begins
Waiting for the day
Arise with the light
Do you remember when we met?
Silent stories shared
Shifting gaze
Vacant stares
Sanitising, sensoring
Dreaming, embellishing
To illustrate our lives
For an audience
Of one.
